RESOLUTION APPROVING WAGES FOR NON-FIRE
DEPARTMENT CITY EIVIPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Coui7cil discussed 2024 wages during their meeting on Januaty 16, 2024;
and
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council is authorizing a wage increase of 2.50% plus 50 cents per llour
for the non-library, non-fire departinent employees effective January 1, 2024 (Brian Merta will not be ii�cluded
due to his promotiarl and raise in November of 2023).
NOVV, TI3EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; the wages were set for each employee as follows:
Chris Philipp, Building Department Official $39.58 per hour, effective January l, 2024
Brian Merta, Public Water/Sewer Supervisor $37.00 per hour, effective Noveinber 15, 2023
Cynthia Stiinson, City Clerk/Treasurer $36.23 per hour, effective Januaiy 1, 2024
Lynn Miller, Public Works Supei-visar $36.05 per 11our, effcctive January 1, 2024
Brandon Lefebure, W/WW Lead Operator $29.94 per hour, effective Januaiy 1, 2024
Joe Kell, Parks & Recreation Director $27.37 per hour, effective January 1, 2024

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city staff is hereby authorized to issue payroll checks and
make all required supporting payroll payments as required per the personnel manual or required by law.
BE IT FI)RTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and
City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
