RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATIONS TO THE CORRIDOR
1VIETROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANI7ATION FOR THE 2050 LONG
RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the Coi�idor MPO is beginnin� an update to its Loi1g Range Transportation
Plan (LRTP) fot� horizon year 2050.
WHEREAS, MPO member communities should submit applications for all major
transportatio�l projects (roads, trails, and transit) envisioned during the next 25 years (2025 to
2050), if ai7 eventual request for federal or state transportation funds will be considel-ed.
WHEREAS, applications for nine (9) future roadway projects and six (6) futur-e trail
projects have been prepared by Hall & Hall EngineeY•s for submittal to the Corridor MPO.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, to authorize the submittal of said project applications to the Coi�ridor MPO for the 2050
Long Rai�ge Ti•anspoi-tation Plan.
SE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
resolution.
