RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETW�EN THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX AND HALL & I�ALL ENGINEERS, INC.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has a previously approved a Professional
Services Agreement (Resolution No. 2023-�1) with Hall & Hall Engineers, Ii1c. to provide
Right-of-Way (R.O.W.) & Easement Acquisition services for the W. Cemetery Road Bridge
Replaceinent project and the W. Ceiz��tety Road, Eagleview Drive, and Highway 151 Iiltersect
over Oscar Creek; and
WHEREAS, Hall & Hall Engineers, Inc. has submitted an Amendment to the
Professional Services Agreement to provide additional services to coinplete a Property
Appraisals and Review Ap�raisals, and R.O.W. / Easen�ent Acquisition Consultiug Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, to enter into this Aznendment of the Professional Services Agreelnent witll Hall & Hall
Engiileers, Ii1c. as attached.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute
both this resolution and the amended Professional Services Agreement.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
AMENDMENT NO. 9
Hall & Hall Project No. 6950-23-01
W Cemetery Road Bridge Replacement and Street Re-Alignment ROW & Easement Acquisition Services
This Amendment made on the 24th day of June, 2024 between the City of Fairfax (hereinafter referred to
as "OWNER") and Hali and Hall Engineers, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "ENGINEER").
The OWNER and the ENGINEER agree to amend the scope of services as indicated in the original
Professionai Services Agreement and previously approved amendments, as follows:
"f. Amend the engineering services agreement to cover additional costs for Appraisal and Review
Appraisal Services. The agreement has $15,000 for Appraisai and Review Appraisal Services, but
in coordinating with the R.O.W. and Easement Acquisition Consuitants, these services may run as
high as $22,000.
2, Add the Services of a R.O.W. and Easement Acquisition Consultant, ProSource.

The OWNER and the ENGINEER agree to amend the compensation paid to the ENGINEER for providing
the scope of services as shown in the original agreement, and previously approved amendments, as
fol lows:
Total Service per the Original Agreement $75,200.00
Proposed Total for Additional Services $48,OU0.00
Proposed Total for the Amencled Agreement $123,200.00
This Amendment is subject to all the terms and conditions of the original Professional Services Agreement.
Upon execution of this amendment, this document shall become part of the original Professional Services
Agreement as if bound therein.
