RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND ORAL
COMMENTS ON SHOUSE REQUIREMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax will be reviewing and possibly establishing lot size requirements
for a residential shouse type structure; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax Planning and Zoning Commission has review said requirements
and has made a recommendation to restrict a residential shouse type structure to 44RS and Agricultural
Districts, and;
WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning changes to zoning.
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the proposed
restriction of a shouse type dwelling limited to 44RS and Agricultural Districts may be heard at the regular
city council meeting
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
this confirms that the city council arder the publication of a notice of public hearing to be held on September
l Ot'' , 2024, at 6 pm, pertaining to revising the Fairfax Zoning Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized
and directed to execute said resolution.
