A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE
W�LCOME PACKET POLICY
WHEREAS, tlle City of Faii-fax, Iowa pl-oduces a Welcolne Packet to give new residents;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Iowa, has drafted the attaehed Welcoine Packet Policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Fairfax, Iowa, that they adopt the attached Welcome Packet Policy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa,
that the Mayor and City Clerk/Ti-easurer are hereby directed to certify this resolution of approval.
Passed and approved this 8`�' day of October, 2024.

WELCOME PACKET POLICY
Tl1e City of Fairfax prepares a Welcome Packet to be given to new Fairfax residents. Tl�e
City of Fairfax will allow the following types of subTnissions foi- the Welcome Packet:
Ai-ea businesses and non-profits may choose to pa��ticipate at thre� different levels as
follows:
Level l: Free
Local businesses and organizations may be listed in the Fairfax Area
Directory for free. � '
Leve12: $75.00 Annual FeeX
Local businesses and organizations may be listed in the Fairfax Area
Directoiy and have literature and/or promotional items as they provide in the
Welcome Packet bags.
*Local non-pl-ofits may participate at this level for fi-ee with proof of non-
profit status.
Leve13: �200.00 Annual FeexX
XxLocal non-profits may participate at this level for $100.00 with proof of
non-profit status.
This level is our Welcome Packet partner level. This level has the following
benefits:
♦ The company logo will be printed on the Welcome bags.
♦ The company name and logo will be "spotlighted" at the beginning of the
Fairfax Area Directory along with being listed in the directoly.
♦ Promotional items and literature they provide will be included
in the Welcome Packet bags.
♦ Each month we feature a Welcome Packet Partner- on the back page
or another page of our Fairfax Facts monthly newsletter (this Featul-e
is equal to a half-page newsletter ad, a$50 value — for FREE).
♦ Free advertisement on the City of Fairfax Facebook and Twitter
page for the month of your FREE feature page.
♦ Spotlighted on our Official City of Fairfax website during the
month of your FREE feature page.
♦ One minute video ad on our Social Media sites (they create & send to the
City).
♦"Business of the Month" — the City will create an ad on a white board, you
can bring something to place on our corner counter in the lobby.
