RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FAIRFAX YOUTH AND ADULT
SPORTS REGISTRATION FEES
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax believes all people should have the opportunity to play
youth and adult sports regardless of ability or experience; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has several youth and adult sports programs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax needs to establish the registration fee schedule and
procedure for the collection of these fees; and
WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Director shall have the authority to adjust the
registration fee schedule as needed; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor or the Parks and Recreation Director may, at their discretion,
reduce or waive the cost of a registration fee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Fairfax City Council does hereby
establish the following schedule of registration fees and procedures for collection of such fees:
The following schedule of registration fees shall be charged:
Pre-K and Kinderg�arten T-Ball lst and 2nd-�rade coach/ machine pitch, pee wee soccer,
and intermediate soccer -$40.00 per player. Registrations can be made through the city's website.
The Parks Department may take late registrations. Registration fees are due at the time of
registration.
Little League and Pon�gue baseball/ softball -$65.00 per player. Registrations can be
made through the city's website. The Parks Department may take late registrations. Registration
fees are due at the time of registration
High School Club Baseball -$125.00 per player. Registrations can be made through the
city's website. The Parks Department may take late registrations. Registration fees are due at the
time of registration
Fall Baseball League -$75.00 per player. Registrations can be made through the city's
website. The Parks Department may take late registrations. Registration fees are due at the time of
registration
Tournament Softball --$100.00 per player. Registrations can be made through the city's
website. The Parks Department may take late registrations. Registration fees are due at the time of
registration
Adult Coed Softball --$49.00 per team. Registrations can be made by contacting the Parks
& Rec Department. The Parks Department may take late registrations.
Adult Pickleball — Free. Registrations can be made through the city's website. The Parks
Department may take late registrations.
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director is given the authority to waive a registration fee(s)
if the registration fee(s) should prove to be a financial burden to the participant's family. The parent
or guardian must submit in writing the reason for the hardship and waiving of the fee(s). If
approved, such registrations will be paid from a fund solicited by the Parks & Rec Department.
This information will be included in signup advertising and on the Parks & Rec link on the city's
website.
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director will keep the City Council informed of such
actions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Resolution.
