RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND ORAL
COMMENTS ON CORE DISTRICT CHANGES
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax will be reviewing and possibly changing the format and
storm water requirements within the Core District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed said
requirements and format. The Planning and Zoning Commission has made a recommendation to
replace the format and the storm water requirements of the Core District, and;
WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning changes to zoning.
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the
proposed changes to the Core District may be heard at the regular city council meeting
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that this confirms that the city council order the publication of a notice of public hearing to
be held on December lOth , 2024, at 6 pm, pertaining to revising the Fairfax Zoning Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said resolution.
