RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND
ORAL COMMENTS ON ADOPTING A REVISED ZONING MAP
WHEREAS, the Fairfax Planning and Zoning has worked with the City's
engineering firm, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc., to make revisions to Fairfax's Official
Zoning Map; and
WHEREAS, the Fairfax Planning and Zoning will be reviewing the revised Fairfax
Official Zoning Map during their December meeting; and
WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning revisions to the
Fairfax Zoning Code, of which this map is part of; and
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the
proposed revised Fairfax Official Zoning Map may appear and be heard at the public
hearing at the city council meeting on January 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Fairfax City Hall at
300 80th Street Court, Fairfax, Iowa; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that this confirms that the city council order the publication of a notice of
public hearing pertaining to adopting this revised Fairfax Ofiicial Zoning Map on behalf
of the City of Fairfax.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said resolution.
