RESOLUTION FOR THE AWARD OF THE 2023 CITY PARK
LIGHTING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City received the following bids on Wednesday, January 18t", 2023 at
2:00 pm for the construction of the City Park Lighting project:
BIDDERS BID PRICE
Nelson Electric Co. $312,320.00
K&W Electric, Inc. $395,000.00
Price Industrial Electric, Inc. $398,000.00
WHEREAS, Hall & Hall Engineers has reviewed the bids and recommends the City
award the bid to the low bidder, Nelson Electric Co., for the amount of $312,320.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, to award the bid to Nelson Electric Co., for the amount of $312,320.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that Councilmember Daly and the City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said resolution.
Passed and approved this 24th day of January 2023.

RE: City Park Lighting Project — Bids Received & Recommendation to Award
On Wednesday, January 18t", 2023 at 2:00 pm the following bids were received for
construction of the City Park Lighting project:
Bidder 'Bid Price
Nelson Electric Co. $312,320.00
K&W Electric, Inc. $395,000.00
Price Industrial Electric, Inc. $398,000.00
The Engineer's Estimate was $323,500.00.
Nelson Electric Co. is the low bidder. They are a reputable contractor with considerable
experience completing the type of work involved in the City Park �ighting project.
Hall & Hall Engineers, Inc. recommends award to the low bidder, Nelson Electric Co.,
for the total amount of $312,320.00.
