RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PARK FEES
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has several park facilities that are available for use; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax needs to establish the park fee schedule and procedure for
the collection of these fees; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor or Parks and Recreation Director may, at their discretion, reduce
or waive the cost to use these facilities for civic or non-profit organizations; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Fairfax City Council does hereby
establish the following schedule of fees and procedures for reservations of the City of Fairfax Park
facilities:
Prairie Creek Park Pavilion - free use. Reservations can be made through the city clerk's
office. The name, date, and time of the reservation will be posted prior to the date.
Hawks Rid�e Park Pavilion - free use. Reservations can be made through the city clerk's
office. The name, date, and time of the reservation will be posted prior to the date.
Citv Park Pavilion - free use. Reservations can be made through the city clerk's office.
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation schedule will be consulted before the reservation is made. The
name, date, and time of the reservation will be posted prior to the date.
Fairfax Re�ional Sports and Park Complex Pavilion - free use. Reservations can be made
through the city clerk's ofiice. The Fairfax Park & Recreation schedule will be consulted before
the reservation is made. The name, date, and time of the reservation will be posted prior to the
date.
Gre� Fetter Field at City Park — free use for events deemed civic in nature by the Mayor or
Parks & Recreation Director. Park users may use the diamond when not in use by a scheduled,
organized activity, but there will be no field maintenance, equipment, or support supplied.
The following schedule of rental fees shall be charged to all other groups:
$30.00 per practice (includes bases)
$40.00 per practice (includes bases and drag if necessary)
$60.00 per game —(single games and doubleheaders. Tournament fees are
covered under the current Rental Agreement for Use)
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director is given the authority to waive fees if they will
have no preparation or maintenance work involved in a group using the playing iield(s).
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director will keep the city clerk's office informed about
all reservations.
Groups paying to use the diamond must provide a certificate of insurance prior to the use
as outlined in the Rental Agreement for Use unless otherwise waived by the Mayor or Parks &
Recreation Director.
Reservations must be made through the Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director.
Youth Baseball/Softball Diamonds at City Park and Fairfax Regional Sports and Park Complex —
free use for events deemed civic in nature by the Parks & Recreation Director or City Council. If
the Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director determines to allow park users to use a diamond when not
in use by a scheduled, organized activity, there will be no field maintenance, equipment, or support
supplied.
The following schedule of rental fees shall be charged to all other groups, per field:
$30.00 per practice (includes bases)
$40.00 per practice (includes bases, mound and drag if needed)
$60.00 per game —(single games and doubleheaders. Tournament fees are
charged based on Rental Agreement for Use.)
$25.00 per hour of field lights usage
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director is given the authority to waive fees if they will
have no preparation or maintenance work involved in a group using the playing field(s).
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director will keep the city clerk's office informed about
all reservations.
Groups paying to use the diamond must provide a certificate of insurance prior to the use
under the Rental Agreement for Use unless otherwise waived by the Mayor or Fairfax Park &
Recreation Director.

Soccer Fields at Fairfax Re iog nal Sports and Park Complex — free use for events deemed civic in
nature by the Parks & Recreation Director or City Council. Park users may use the fields when not
in use by an organized activity, but there will be no field maintenance, equipment, or support
supplied.
The following schedule of rental fees shall be charged to all other groups, per field:
$30.00 per practice
$60.00 per game —(single games. Tournament fees will be charged based
on Rental Agreement for Use)
$100.00 Set up fee as deemed necessary by the Fairfax Parks & Recreation
Director
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director is given the authority to waive fees if they will
have no preparation or maintenance work involved in a group using the playing field(s).
The Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director will keep the city clerk's office informed about
all reservations.
Groups paying to use a field must provide a certificate of insurance prior to the use under
the Rental Agreement for Use unless otherwise waived by the Mayor or Fairfax Park & Recreation
Director.
Reservations must be made through the Fairfax Parks & Recreation Director.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Resolution.
