RESOLUTION TO FILE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF
CONTRACT, AND OPINION OF PROBABLE COST; SET A TIME AND
DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING; AND SET A TIME AND DATE TO
RECEIVE BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2023 WATER MAIN
EXTENSION UNDER PRAIRIE CREEK PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that plans,
specifications, form of contract, and opinion of probable cost for the 2023 Water Main
Extension Under Prairie Creek Project have been filed with the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing for the plans, specifications,
form of contract, and opinion of probable cost for the 2023 Water Main Extension Under Prairie
Creek Project shall be held at the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, April l lth, 2023, at 6:00
PM at Fairfax City Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that bids shall be received on Wednesday, April 19tn,
2023, at 2:00 PM in the office of the City Clerk for the construction of the 2023 Water Main
Extension Under Prairie Creek Project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said Resolution.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE 2023 WATER MAIN EXTENSION UNDER PRAIRIE CREEK PROJECT
DESCRIBED AS:
Construction of 665 lineal feet of 12-inch diameter water main, to be located along the east side of
Highway 151 from Prairie Avenue to the north side of Prairie Creek in the City of Fairfax, lowa.
Contract No. 6950-22-04
At 6:00 PM, local time, on the 11 t" day of April, 2023 at the Council Chambers, 300 80�h Street Court Fairfax,
lowa, a public hearing will be conducted by the Fairfax City Council on the proposed plans, specifications,
form of contract, opinion of probable cost and the proposed improvements described thereby for the 2023
Water Main Extension Under Prairie Creek project. The Fairfax City Council has previously filed these
documents with the City Clerk of the City of Fairfax, lowa. The City Engineer's opinion of probable
construction cost for the Work is $360,000.00. The proceedings of the City Councii referring to the proposed
plans, specifications, form of contract, and cost opinion are also made part of this notice. At this hearing,
any interested person may file written and/or oral objections to these documents and the proposed
improvements.
