RESOLUTION FOR THE AWARD OF THE 2023 WATER MAIN
EXTENSION UNDER PRAIRIE CREEK PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City received the following bids on Wednesday, April 19t", 2023 at
2:00 pm for the construction of the Water Main Extension Under Prairie Creek project:
BIDDER BID PRICE
Midwest Underground Contractors Inc. $197,405.70
JQ Construction, LLC $237,480.00
Local Boring Company, LLC $248,841.50
Boomerang Corp. $315,776.00
WHEREAS, Hall & Hall Engineers has reviewed the bids and recommends the City
award the bid to the low bidder, Midwest Underground Contractors Inc., for the amount of
$197,405.70.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, to award the bid to Midwest Underground Contractors Inc., for the amount of
$197,405.70.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said resolution.
