RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE �I'OR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND ORAL
COMIVIENTS ON REZONING 2023 ANNEXED PROP�RTY ALONG
LEFEBURE ROAD AND 76T" AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax will be reviewing and possibly rezoning the 2023 annexed
property along Lefebure Road and 76r�' Avenue from AG: Agricultural to M1: Light Industrial; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax Planning and Zoning Conunission will review said changes and
will make a recomn7endation at the public hearing, and;
WH�REAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning rezoning of properties as part of the
Fairfax Zoning Code.
WI�I�REAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the proposed
rezoning of the 2023 annexed property along Lefebure Road and 76°i Avenue may appear and be heard at
the public hearing at the city council meeting on December 12, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Fairfax City Hall �t 300
80r�' Street Court, Fairfax, Iowa
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV�D by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
this confirn�s that the city council order the publication of a notice of public hearing to be held on December
12r�', 2023, pertaining to revisiilg the Fairfax Zoning Code.
BE IT FURTHER R�SOLVEll that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized
and directed to execute said resolution.
