RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION IN AN
URBANIZED AREA FOR PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF WEST
SOUTHVIEW ROAD AND WEST OF WILLIAMS BLVD/HIGHWAY 151
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has received applications frorn Nancy Kay Africa and
Howard Frank Bellon, Jr., foi- annexation of property totaling approximately 116.9 acres, more or
less, located north of West Southview Road and west of Williains Blvd/Highway 151; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. and City Staff have prepared and submitted
the appropriate notifications to the impacted entities pursuant to Chapter 368 of the Code of Iowa
for the amlexation of this property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the property adjoining the north side of West Southview Road, and owned by Nancy
Kay Africa and Howard Frank Bellon, Jr. is hereby annexed by the City of Fairfax, Iowa in a
inanner provided by Iowa Code Chaptei• 368, and that said propez-ty shall becorne part of the City
of Fairfax, Iowa.
SE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by tlle Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
resolution.
