RESOLUTION APPROVING WAGES FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT
CITY EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has discussed the fire department wages during the Januaiy 1 l, 2022
council meeting; and
WHERAS, Fire Chief Mike Sankot has requested any wage changes be effective for work perforined in
2021, to be paid in January of 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; the wages were set for each fire department employee as
follows, effective January 1, 2021:
Michael Sankot, Fire Chief
EMS Fire Department Officer
State Reporting Fire Department Officer
Other Fire Departinent Officers
FD Meinber doing call paperwork
Fire Departrnent Members
$4,000 per year salary, plus per call and call reporting
$1,000.00 per year salary, plus per call and call repoi-ting
$1,000.00 per year salary, plus per call and call reporting
$500.00 per year salaiy, plus per call and call reporting
$40.00 per call reporting
$20.00 per call
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city staff is hereby authorized to issue payroll checks and
lnake all required supporting payroll payments as required per the pei•sonnel inanual or required by law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and
City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
