RESOLUTION APPROVING WAGES FOR NON-FIRE DEPARTIVIENT
CITY EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the Libraiy Board voted for $1.50 an hour raise for their current e�nployees as of January
1, 2022 and to hire Jackie Stallman at $15.00 an hour, with a start date of December 10 and no wage adjustinent
in January of 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council discussed non-library and non-fire departinent einployee
coinpensation during their January 11, 2022 meeting with the following decision to give a 7% raise plus a$1.00
an hour raise for all non-library, non-fire department employees effective as of January 1, 2022, and
WHEREAS, Brandon Lefebure has submitted paperwork showing Water Treatinent 1 certification as of
Deceinber 16, 2021, Water Distribution 1 certification as of Januaiy 26, 2022, and Waste Water Treatinent 1
certification as of February 2, 2022; and
WHEREAS, soine of the seasonal parks part-tiine employees have been hired with a start date of March
15, 2022, or later; and
WHEREAS, the Library Board discussed wages again during their meeting on February 7, 2022, and
voted to delete the raises voted on in January. Now, as of January 1, 2022, the library employees are to receive
a 7% raise, plus a$1.00 raise across the board, including Jackie Stallman who was hii•ed as of Decembei• 10,
2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; the wages were set for each employee as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city staff is hereby authorized to issue payroll checks and
make all required supporting payroll payments as required per the personnel manual or required by law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and
City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
