Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION NO. 2022-36RESOLUTION NO. 2022-36 RESOLUTION APPROVING WAG�S FOR NON-FIRE DEPARTM�NT CITY EMPLOY�ES WHEREAS, the Library Board voted for $1.50 an hour raise for their current einployees as of January 1, 2022 and to hire Jackie Stallinan at $15.00 an hour, with a start date of December 10 and no wage adjustinent in Januaiy of 2022; and WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council discussed non-library and non-fii•e department employee cornpensation during their January 11, 2022 meeting with the following decision to give a 7% raise plus a$1.00 an hour raise for all non-library, non-fire department employees effective as of January 1, 2022, and WHEREAS, Brandon Lefebure has submitted paperwork showitig Water Treatment 1 cet-tification as of December 16, 2021, Water Distribution 1 certification as of January 26, 2022, and Waste Water Treatment 1 certification as of Februaty 2, 2022; and WHER�AS, some of the seasonal parks part-time einployees have been hired with a start date of Marcl7 15, 2022, or later; and WHEREAS, thc Libraiy Board discusscd wages again during their meeting on Februaiy 7, 2022, and voted to delete the raises voted on in January. Now, as of Januaiy 1, 2022, the library einployees are to receive a 7% raise, plus a$1.00 t�aise across the board, including Jackie Stallman who was hired as of December 10, 2021; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved hiring a temporary water/sewer department intern fioin Kirkwood Community College.
