RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND
ORAL COMM�NTS ON REVISING THE CITY OF FAIRFAX
ZONING CODE
WHEREAS, the Fairfax Planning and Zoning has made a recommendation for
changes to the Fairfax Zoning Code to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning revision to the
Fairfax Zoning Code; and
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having coininents for or against the
proposed revisions to the Fairfax Zoning Code inay appear and be heard at the public
hearing at the city council meeting on June 14, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Fairfax City Hall at 300
80`�' Street Court, Fairfax, Iowa; and
� WHEREAS, the meeting will be held in person with the public welcome. If you
would like to pai-ticipate via a conference call, at least 10 minutes before the ineeting start
time, you must call 425-436-6370 and enter this access code: 759797.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that this confinns that the city council order the publication of a notice of
public hearing to be held on June 14, 2022, pertaining to revising the Fairfax Zoning Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said resolution.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Fairfax will be holding a public hearing regarding two revisions to the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, Zoning Ordinance. One is adding a new BAF Overlay District. The second is
adding a new single family residential bulk lot requirement. The public hearing will be held June
14, 2022 during the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting.
This meeting is open to the public, is to be held at City Hall, 300 80`}' Street Court, Fairfax,
Iowa and will begin at 6:00 PM. If you have questions or comments, please contact the City
