RESOLUTION TO FILE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF
CONTRACT, AND OPINION OF PROBABLE COST; SET A TIME AND
DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING; AND SET A TIME AND DATE TO
RECEIVE BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2023 CITY PARK
LIGHTING PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that plans,
specifications, form of contract, and opinion of probable cost for the 2023 City Park Lighting
Project have been filed with the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing for the plans, specifications,
form of contract, and opinion of probable cost for the 2023 City Park Lighting Project shall be
held at the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, January l Oth, 2023, at 6:00 PM at Fairfax City
Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that bids shall be received on Wednesday, January
18t", 2023, at 2:00 PM in the office of the City Clerk for the construction of the 2023 City Park
Lighting Project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Resolution.

CONSTRUCTION COSTS
Statements of Probable Construction Costs prepared by Design Engineers, P.C., represent our best judgments as design professionals familiar with the
construction industry. However, neither Design Engineers, P.C. nor the Owner has control over the cost of labor, materials or equipment, over the
Contractor's methods of determining bid prices, or over competitive bidding, market or negotiating conditions: Accordingly, Design Engineers, P.C. cannot
and does not warrant or represent that bids or negotiated prices will not vary from the Project budget proposed, established or approved by the Owner, if
any, or from any Statement of Probable Construction Cost prepared by Design Engineers, P.C.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE 2023 CITY PARK LIGHTING PROJECT
DESCRIBED AS:
Adding new lighting, upgrading existing lighting, and all associated electrical work required to complete
the lighting improvements throughout the Fairfax Regional Sports & Park Complex located at 625 Linn
Street and Hawks Ridge Park located at 390 West Prairie Drive in the City of Fairfax.
Contract No. 6950-22-03
At 6:00 PM, local time, on the 10'" day of January, 2023 at the Council Chambers, 300 80th Street Court
Fairfax, lowa, a public hearing will be conducted by the Fairfax City Council on the proposed plans,
specifications, form of contract, opinion of probable cost, and the proposed improvements described
thereby for the 2023 City Park Lighting project. The Fairfax City Council has previously filed these
documents with the City Clerk of the City of Fairfax, lowa. The City Engineer's opinion of probable
construction costforthe Work is $323,500.00. The proceedings ofthe City Council referring to the proposed
plans, specifications, form of contract, and cost opinion are also made part of this notice. At this hearing,
any interested person may appear and file written and/or oral objections to these documents and the
proposed improvements.
