RESOLUTION TO FILE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF
CONTRACT, AND OPINION OF PROBABLE COST; SET A TIME AND
DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING; AND SET A TIME AND DATE TO
RECEIVE BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2023 HEARTLAND
I3EIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD PARK PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that plans,
specifications, form of contract, and opinion of probable cost for the 2023 Heartland Heights
Neighborhood Park Project have been filed with the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing for the plans, specifications,
form of contract, and opinion of probable cost for the 2023 Heartland Heights Neighborhood
Park Project shall be held at the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, January l Oth, 2023, at 6:00
PM at Fairfax City Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that bids shall be received on Wednesday, January
18th, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the office of the City Clerk for the construction of the 2023 Heartland
Heights Neighborhood Park Project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Resolution.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE 2023 HEARTLAND HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD PARK PROJECT
DESCRIBED AS:
Construction of Heartland Heights Neighborhood Park, which includes site grading, sidewalk/trail
installation, basketball court installation and stubbing of utilities for future use, to be located near the
intersection of Heartland Street and Eagleview Drive in the City of Fairfax.
Contract No. 6950-21-01
At 6:00 PM, local time, on the 10t" day of January, 2023 at the Council Chambers, 300 80t" Street Court
Fairfax, lowa, a public hearing will be conducted by the Fairfax City Council on the proposed plans,
specifications, form of contract, opinion of probable cost and the proposed improvements described thereby
for the 2023 Heartland Heights Neighborhood Park project. The Fairfax City Council has previously filed
these documents with the City Clerk of the City of Fairfax, lowa. The City Engineer's opinion of probable
construction cost for the Work is $190,000.00. The proceedings of the City Council referring to the proposed
plans, specifications, form of contract, and cost opinion are also made part of this notice. At this hearing,
any interested person may file written and/or oral objections to these documents and the proposed
improvements.
