RESOLUTION TO PAY SCHRADER EXCAVATING & GRADING CO.
FOR THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE BEVERLY ROAD
PAVEMENT WIDENING AS PART OF THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
TO HEARTLAND HEIGHTS THIRD ADDITION IN THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, LINN COUNTY, IOWA
WHEREAS, as part of the development agreement for the Heartland Heights Third
Addition, the City is to reimburse Schrader Excavating & Grading Co. (the Developer) for the
additional pavement width of Beverly Road, widening this street from 28 feet to 37 feet from
back of curb to back of curb; and
WHEREAS, Schrader Excavating & Grading Co. (the Developer) has completed the
public improvements for Heartland Heights Third Addition, which said Beverly Road Pavement
Widening is a part of; and:
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has accepted the Heartland Heights Third Addition
Public Improvements as part of Resolution No. 2022-113, dated December 14, 222; and
WHEREAS, Schrader Excavating & Grading Co. has submitted an invoice to the City in
the amount of $129,562.95 for said Beverly Road Pavement Widening, and:
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. has reviewed said invoice from Schrader
Excavating & Grading Co. and has verified that it is in-line with the work completed for this
pavement widening.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, to pay Schrader Excavating & Grading Co. $129,562.95 for said invoice for the Beverly
Road Pavement Widening as part of the Heartland Heights Third Addition Public Improvements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
