RESOLUTION FOR THE AWARD OF THE SPLASH PAD
CONSTRUCTION BID
WHEREAS,the City received two bids for the construction of the splash pad. The bid
received from Peak Construction Group, Inc. was in the amount of$331,007.04 for the base
bid and $31,841.60 for the alternates bid. The bid received from Boomerang Corp. was in the
amount of$342,559.00 for the base bid and $30,700.00 for the alternates bid; and
WHEREAS, Hall & Hall Engineers has reviewed the bids and recommends the City
award the base bid to the low bidder, Peak Construction Group, Inc., for the amount of
$331,007.04.
WHEREAS, Hall&Hall Engineers recommends the City reject the alternates bid from
Peak Construction Group, Inc. and allow City staff to complete construction of the alternate bid
items.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, to award the base bid to Peak Construction Group, Inc.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said resolution.
