HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION NO. 2020-33 RESOLUTION NO. 2020-33 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY'S PROPOSED AMENDMENT #2 TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020 BUDGET WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has prepared amendment 92 to the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2019-2020; and WHEREAS, the City did hold a public hearing regarding this proposed budget amendment on April 14, 2020,at 6:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall,at 300 80th Street Court, Fairfax, Iowa. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, approval of budget amendment#2 for Fiscal Year 2019-2020. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said resolution. Stimson, City Clerk/Treasurer fi 57 =544 CITY BUDGET AMENDMENT AND CERTIFICATION RESOLUTION-FY 2020-AMENDMENT#2 To the Auditor of LINN County, Iowa: The City Council of Fairfax in said County/Counties met on 4/14/2020 ,at the place and hour set in the notice, a copy of which accompanies this certificate and is certified as to publication. Upon taking up the proposed amendment, it was considered and taxpayers were heard for and against the amendment. The Council,after hearing all taxpayers wishing to be heard and considering the statements made by them,gave final consideration to the proposed amendment(s)to the budget and modifications proposed at the hearing, if any. thereupon,the following resolution was introduced. The City Council met electronically via conference call at 425-436-6370, access code 759797. This meeting was conducted electronically due to federal and state government recommendations in response to COVID-19 pandemic conditions, pursuant to Governor Reynolds' Proclamation of Disaster Emergency dated March 19, 2020. A telephone conference number was included in the posted agenda of this public meeting.
