HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION NO. RESOLUTION NO. 2020-46 RESOLUTION NO. 2020-46 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. I FROM PEAK CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC. FOR THE FAIRFAX SPORTS COMPLEX SPLASH PAD PROJECT WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has contracted with Peak Construction Group, Inc. for the Fairfax Sports Complex Splash Pad project; and WHEREAS, Hall &Hall Engineers has recommended approval of Change Order#1 as described below. Fairfax Splash Pad change order Reason for Chante order; The water table and ground conditions at Fairfax Splash pact were unsuitable to install the sanitary and water train piping and required stabilization stone to get a firm foundation to install utility piping;.We also had to build a rock base for the equipment enclosure pad. Due to water table being so high it was decided to delete the water manhole and install a blow off assembly in its place to gain access to witer system so it could be blown chit for winterization., We also have a change in special backfill quantities for the splash pad base. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said resolution.
