RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION IN AN
URBANIZED AREA FOR PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF LEFEBURE
ROAD AND FAIRFAX ROAD, AND SOUTH OF THE CRANDIC
RAILROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has received applications from Gary W. Lefebure
Family Trust, Dean J. Lefebure 2010 Revocable Trust, and Dale A. and Kristana K. Lefebure
Family Trust, for annexation of property totaling approximately 100.7 acres, more or less,
located east of Lefebure Road and Fairfax Road and south of the CRANDIC Railroad; and
WHEREAS, adjoining half-street right-of-way for Lefebure Road and Fairfax Road,
totaling approximately 2.3 acres, more or less, shall be annexed to the City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. and City Staff have prepared and submitted
the appropriate notifications to the impacted entities pursuant to Chapter 368 of the Code of Iowa
for the annexation of this property and the adjoining half-street right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the property adjoining the east side of Fairfax Road and Lefebure Road, south of the
CRANDIC Railroad, and owned by Gary W. Lefebure Family Trust, Dean J. Lefebure 2010
Revocable Trust, and Dale A. and Kristana K. Lefebure Family Trust, as well as the half-street
right-of-way of Lefebure Road and Fairfax Road adjoining this property, is hereby annexed by
the City of Fairfax, Iowa in a manner provided by Iowa Code Chapter 368, and that said property
shall become part of the City of Fairfax, Iowa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
resolution.
