BEING A RESOLUTION RECOAUJENDING APPROVAL
OF PETITION TO SELL AND VACATE STREET.
WHEREAS,there was filed with the Plan Commission of the
Town of Fairfax, Iowa, at Its meeting on the day of ''_ L ,v
A.D® , 1961, the Peti,tiron. fo Ibwa Fund, Inc. , for the recommendation
of approval fo the Plan Commission to the 'Town C-ouncil Of Fairfax,
Iowa, to the vacation and sale of all fo Knickolet Avenue in the
Town of Fairfax, Iowa as shown on the recorded plats of icker—
bocker"s Addition to Vanderbilt, Iowa, and Auditor"s Plat No® 347,
Linn County, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner is an owner of property which abuts
on a portion fo Knickolet Avenue, and
WHEREAS, after due investigation Knickolet Avenue is found
to be unimproved and exists on the plats of nimckerbooker"s Additkan
to Vanderbilt,. Iowa, and Auditor".s Plat No-347, Linin County, Iowa.,
only, but is not presently actually used by the general public , and
WHEREAS, it does nto appear that the street is necessary or
desirable for the overall street plan of the Town of Fairfax, Iowa,
to provide access to property located in either of the aforementioned
plats,
NOW, THEREFORE, .it is recommended to the Town Council of the
Town of Fairfax,., Iowa,, by thi8 Commission that all of Knickolet
Avenue as shown in' the .recorded plat df ickerbocker''s Addition
to Vanderbilt, Iowa„ and Aui.tor.s Plat No-347, Linn County, Iowa
be vacated and sold..
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be.
submitted to the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax, Iowa.
