WHEREAS, the City Council, acting on behalf of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa (City) , as applicant for Community Development funds
under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974,
has completed all applicable environmental review and clearance:
procedures with respect to the following project:
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN .AUXILIARY
MUNICIPAL WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM
ESTIMATED COST OF PROJECT $35, 846
GRANT REQUEST 11, 000
LOCAL SHARE 24,846
and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to submit a re-
quest to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for
the release of Title I funds for the aforementioned project, now
therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX
IOWA,
1. That the Environmental Review Record for the afore-
mentioned project continue on file until 5: 00 P .M. ,
CDT, on the 15th day of August, 1977, at the follow-
ing locations within Fairfax: Office of the City
Clerk, U.S. Post Office, Fairfax State Savings Bank,
and Fairfax Library, where said record may be examined
and/or copied by any interested individual, group, or
agency;
2. That upon the 22nd day of July, 1977, application he
submitted to HUD by the City for release of funds
and certification to undertake the aforementioned
project;
3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to consent to
assume the status of a responsible federal official
under NEPA, insofar as the provisions of NEPA apply
to the HUD responsibilities for review, decision-
making, and action assumed and carried out by the
