WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Iowa, may establish a temporary road
embargo pursuant to Article 7, Section 2. 1-2. 0701, of the City Code and
Sections 321.47.1 and 321.472 of the Code of Iowa, and
WHEREAS, it appears by reason of deterioration, rain, snow or other
climatic conditions that certain streets will be seriously damaged or
destroyed by vehicles weighing in excess of five (5) tons.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of 'Fairfax,
Iowa, as follows:
That there is hereby established a five (5) ton temporary embargo
load limit on Cemetery Road East in the City of Fairfax, Iowa, and that
the Street Committee is directed to post signs as prescribed. The
Street Committee is also authorized to remove or reinstate this temporary
embargo at any time the City Council is not in session, when the condi-
tions so dictate.
