WHEREAS , the City of Fairfax, Iowa, desires to repeal.
the local option sales and service tax imposed upon the City
of Fairfax pursuant to Chapter 422B of the Code of Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
Fairfax, Iowa, as follows :
That the City of Fairfax, Towa, upon motion duly
considered , hereby requests the Linn County Board of Supervi.sora
to repeal the local option sales and service tax imposed
upon the City of Fairfax, Iowa, as authorized by Section 4
of Senate File. 2302 . The City of Fairfax„ Iowa , further
requests that the Linn County Board of Supervisors repeal
the local, option sales and service tax effective at the end
of the calendar quarter during which this motion for the
repeal is received by the Board.
