A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE 1997 ADDENDUM TO THE
FAIRFAX,, IO WA, COMPREHEMIIVE PLAN AND LAND USE RECOMMENDA TIONS
1989
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, has deemed it appropriate to
update the City's 1989 Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Recommendations to assist in
the coordination of future development activities and to provide for the general health,
safety, and welfare of the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Councilhas as engaged the services of the East Central Iowa Council
of Governments to assist the City of Fairfax Plannin; and Zoning Commission with the
preparation oC this Addendum; rind

Uae Reconrrnemkition.y 1989 is acceptable to the City of Fairfax. Planning and Zoning
Commission and has been so r11commended to the City Council for adoption after public

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fairfax, a
Iowa, does hereby approve the 1997 Addendtrnr to the Fcurfa.r„ Iokr-er, ('Onlprehensi )e
Plata crud Land Use Reconamendaiions 1989 and adopts said plan to be used in
conjunction with the Faiafax, I lea, C:omprehensire Plan and Letnd Ilse
Recommendations 1989 as the official Plan for the City of Fairfax, Iowa.

SUBJECT: 1997 Addendum to the Fairfax, Iowa Comprehensive Plan and Land Use
Recommendations 1989
At the October 13, 1997 Fairfax Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, the
Commission reviewed the final draft of the proposed 1997 Addendum to the Fairfax, Iowa
Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Recommendations 1989.
Following a public hearing, said proposed Addendum was found acceptable by the Fairfax.
Planning and Zoning Commission. A motion was made, seconded, and approved by a vote
of to to recommend said proposed Addendum to the Fairfax City Council
for adoption following a public hearing at the City Council's next meeting,
