Concerning Schedule of Fees for Plumbing Permits and Inspections
WHEREAS, the City Council, Fairfax, Iowa, adopted the Plumbing Regulations
by ordinance on j.1 y 1 3_, 1999 and
WHEREAS, the Plumbing Regulations authorize the City Council to set
plumbing permit and inspection fees by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE„ BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City
Council, Fairfax, Iowa, this date met in lawful session, and that the following Plumbing
Permit Fee Schedule, applicable to the erection, installation, alteration, repair,
relocation, replacement, addition to, or use or maintenance of plumbing systems within
this jurisdiction, is adopted and shall be,by this action, effective July 2 6 , 1999.

PLUMBING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF WORK FEE NO. TOTAL
BASE PERMIT FEE -to be added to fees below for each permit I S.Od
Int Addition-
For each plumbing fixture or trap or set of fixtures on one trap
(including water, drainage piping and backflow protection
therefor) 5.00
Rainwater systems, -per drain(inside building) $ 5.00
For each water heater $ 5.00
For each industrial waste pre-treatment interceptor including its
trap and vent, excepting kitchen type grease interceptors
functioning as fixture traps. J 5.00
For installation, alteration or repair of water piping and/or water
treating equipment $ 5.00
For installation, repair or alteration of drainage or vent piping 5.00
For each lawn sprinkler system on any one meter, including
backflow protection devices therefor $ 5.00
For vacuum breakers or backflow protective devices on tanks,
vats,etc. or for installation on unprotected plumbing fixtures,
including necessary water piping one(1)to four(4) 5.00
Building Sewer $ 5.00
For Fuel Gas Piping System. Shall Be As Follows:
Gas Piping System of One to Four Outlets $ 5.00
Gas Piping System, Additional Outlets Over Five, Each 1.00
Building Sewer or Trailer Park Sewer Connection Inspection $25.00
Replace Building Sewer $15.00
Re-inspection Fees and Special Inspections $30,00
SUBTOTAL $
