BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OIC 'THE CITY OF FAIRFA ,
IOWA, that effective sent ember 41999, the following revised valuation sheet be
used to determine total valuation of residential building projects in order to apply the
Schedule for Building Permit Fees, and further, that said revised valuation sheet be and
hereby is substituted for the Valuation Sheet adopted by Resolution No. 99-07-26 on July
26, 1999 by this Council.
VALUATION SHEET
RESIDENTIAL:

Patio (covered and enclosed) 15

ADDITIONAL VALUATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL FEATURES FLAT RATE
Each masonry fireplace, add lump sum of $5,000
Each factorybuilt fireplace, add lump sum of 3,500
Each basement garage stall, add lump sum of 800
VALUATIONS FOR ACCESSORY BUILDINGS AND REPAIRS:
Detached garage $ 12
Open carport or open pole building 10
Sheds 10
'Sheds of 120 sq ft or less are exempt from the building regulations but require a permit for city approval
of the shed's location within the permit holder's property, A flat fee of$25 shall be charged for such a
permit.
COMMERCIAL-
Valuations for Commercial Properties shall be made by the building official using recognized industry
standards. The valuation data for commercial buildings is available fropn the building official upon request.
