CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION ORDERING BIDS AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE 20l0l2 IRON FILTER PLANT IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the Water Superintendent of Fairfax, Iowa has deemed it necessary to remove
dissolved iron from the well water pumped by city well number 3 and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that the most cost effective and reliable method
would be by aeration and filtration and
WHEREAS, funding as available through user fees and general obligation bonds.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,
IOWA, to set October1, 2002 as the date to receive bids and to set October 1, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. in the
city council chambers of Fairfax, Iowa as the time and place of the Public Hearing on the pians,
specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost and to direct the City Clerk to publish the notice of the
same.
Passed and approved this tenth day of September, 2002.
