REPEALING RESOLUTION 02-06-11-1 SOLID WASTE COLLECTION FEES
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2002, Resolution 02-06-11-1 was passed and approved outlining the
schedule of fees for recyclables collection and disposition as well as solid waste collection and disposal
services from each residential premises being assessed onto residents monthly utility bill;and,
WHEREAS, a comment was documented in the Schedule of Findings during the state audit for
fiscal year ending June 30, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, the reconnnendation from the state auditor John Vanis,stated Chapter 384,84 of the
Code of Iowa requires garbage rates to be approved by a city ordinance;
and,
WHEREAS, on November 12, 2003, Ordinance No. k was introduced and approved
amending provisions pertaining to yard waste collection and collection fees of solid waste in the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Fairfax,Iowa,2002;and,
NOW THEREFORE RE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of Fairfax,Iowa that the Mayor
and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
