RESOLUTION NO. 2010-512
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF A 2011 SNOW PLOW TRUCK
WHEREAS, the maintenance department has requested that the City Council approve
the purchase of a 2011 International Truck, Model 7400 SBA 6x4 from Hawkeye International
Trucks that has been fitted with a Wausau-Everest truck bed, a Henderson snow plow with an
eight foot wing, the Whelen cab shield lighting system, and two Whelen oval warning lights at
the rear for the amount of$142,429,98; and
WHEREAS, the City Council have reviewed the funds available for this purchase and
authorize the following funds be used for this purchase:
• $95,000 from the LOST Fund
• $20,000 from the Road Use Fund
• $14,500 from the Sewer Fund
• $13,000 from the General Fund
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City off'
Fairfax, Iowa does hereby authorize the purchase of the 2011 International Truck, Model 7400
SBA 6x4 from Hawkeye International Trucks that has been fitted with a Wausau-Everest truck
bed, a Henderson snow plow with an eight foot wing, the Whelen cab shield lighting system, and.
two Whelen oval warning lights at the rear for the amount of$142;429.98.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and the City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby directed to certify this resolution of approval.
