A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE WASTEWATER FACILITY PLAN AND
APPLICATION FOR FUNDS.
Whereas,the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has reviewed the Wastewater Collection and
Treatment Facility Plan dated June, 2005 prepared by Hall! and Hall Engineers, Inc. of
Hiawatha, Iowa and MMS Consultants, Inc. of Iowa City, Iowa, and
Whereas, the City Council accepted the Facility Plan and authorized the Engineer to
submit the Report to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for review and
comments by the IDNR, and
Whereas, the City Council has decided to proceed with the financial planning for the
improvements since the project involves major expenditures of money which the City of
Fairfax does not presently have available, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,Iowa, that an
application to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources be prepared for a Clean Water
State Revolving Fund Loan ('SRF) for the necessary improvements described in the
Facility Plan, and
that Hall and Hall Engineers,,, Inc. be engaged to prepare and file these applications, and
that the Mayor be authorized to sign all papers required for the initial application for (but
not the acceptance of) SRF]loan funds on behalf of the City.
