RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND APPROVING THE OFFICIAL
RESULTS OF THE.. SPECIAL CENSUS CONDUCTED IN JUNE OF 2005
WHEREAS, A Special Census was conducted by the US Census Bureau in the City of
Fairfax, Linn County, Iowa, in,June 2005; and
WHEREAS, The City has received notification in a letter dated September 29, 2005
from Charles Louis Kincannon, Director, US Census Bureau, that as of June 23, 2005, the
population was 1662 and the housing count was 624. These numbers represent "Official Census
Statistics" according to Title 13, Section 196, United States Code, and may be used in the
manner provided by applicable law.
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Linn
County, Iowa, does hereby recognize and approve the official. Fairfax population as 1,662, as a
result of the Special Census conducted in the City of Fairfax, Linn County, Iowa, in June of
2005; and
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, By the Fairfax City Council
of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby.authorized and directed to
execute said Resolution.
