RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 99-07-26-2 CONCERNING SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR ELECTRICAL PERMITS & INSPECTIONS & ADOPTING RESOLUTION NO. 2006-6 IN LIEU THEREOF WHEREAS, The Fairfax City Council adopted the National Electrical Code by Ordinance No. 218D on July 13, 1999; and WHEREAS, Pursuant to published notice and following public hearing on the 8th day of October, 2002, so required by Sections 362.3 and 380.3, Code of Iowa, the Fairfax City Council re-codified and adopted the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, 2002; and WHEREAS, The Electrical Regulations authorize the City Council to set electrical permit and inspection fees by Resolution; and WHEREAS, On July 26, 1999, Resolution No. '99-07-26-2 was passed and approved outlining the Schedule of Fees for Electrical Permits and Inspections. WHEREAS, On February 14, 2006, Ordinance No, 53, an Ordinance amending, the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, 2002, by amending provisions pertaining to the National Electrical Code by requiring all newly constructed single and. multi-family residential structures to comply with the Residential Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard TIA-570-B was passed and adopted. BE IT RESOLVED,By the Fairfax City Council that a fee of$50.00 shall be set for the Mandatory Telecommunications Inspection Fee. BE IT RESOLVED, That Resolution No. 99-07-26-2 outlining the Electrical. Permit Fee Schedule, applicable to the erection, installation., alteration, repair, relocation, -replacement, addition to, or use or maintenance of electrical systems with this jurisdiction. is hereby repealed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, By the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the attached Electrical Permit Fee Schedule, applicable to the erection„ installation, alteration, repair, relocation, replacement, addition to, or use or maintenance of electrical systems with this jurisdiction is hereby adopted in lieu thereof and shall be,. by this action, become effective February 14,2006. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, By the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
