Box 337 Fairfax, IA 52228-0337 Re: Plan of Improvements for Grading, Water Main„ Storm Sewer and Paving Prairie View Heights„ Phase One. Dear Ron, The following are comments regarding the above referenced Plan of Improvements: 1. That street names be added to the overall utility sheets A5 & A6. 2. That sidewalk be shown on Highland Avenue adjacent to this plat. 3. That an intersection detail be shown for Prairie Ridge Drive and Highland Avenue. 4. That revisions to sidewalk as shown on sheet A7 are recommend. 5. That a minimium 0.5% slope be maintained in the vertical curves as required in Chapter 5, section 14.B of the Design Standard Manual, 6. While there is a note that detention basin bottom grades slope at 2.0%, the contours do not reflect that slope in all basins and the grade between the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe is less that 2%. 7. Storm sewer calculations need to be submitted and approved. We would recommend the above changes be made to the plan prior to City Council approval. Respectfully Submitted, Richard C. Ransom, P.E.
