Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION NO. 2006-03 - URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AMENDMENT 2006 ADDITION RECON DATION NO. �C —(2 RE CONIIVIEKDATION APPROVING URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE FAIRF'AX URBAN RENEWAL AREA-2006 ADDMON R'SEREAS, The City Council of the City of Fairfax has proposed an amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for the Fairfax Urban Renewal Area.; and rRFAS, The urban renewal plan for the Fairfax Urban Renewal Area (the "Area') is being amended for three purposes. First, the Area is being amended to clarify' the legal description of property added to the Area by an urban renewal plan amendment in 2001 (the "2001 Amendment'). Second, the Area is being amended to increase the size of the Area by adding certain real property thereto. Third, the area is being amended: to authorize the acquisition of certain properties, using tar increment financing, for the promotion of economic development in the Area WET-REAS, The Fairfax Planning and Zoning Commission, Fairfax, Iowa has recommended approval of the Urban Renewal Plan Amendment to the Fairfax Urban Renewal Area-2005 Addition. NOW, 'IIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Fairfax Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of 'Fairfax, Iowa, that said Urban Renewal Plan Amendment to the Fairfax Urban Renewal Area - 2005 Addition be and the same is hereby acknowledged and approved on the part of the Fairfax Planning and Zoning Commission, and this Commission. hereby recommends to the Fairfax City Council the acceptance of the same, and the chairman is hereby authorized and directed to certify this recommendationof approval and arc the same to said amendment as provided by law.
