RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROPOSAL TO
RESURFACE THE TENNIS COURT
WHEREAS,Bid proposals have been submitted to the Fairfax City Council to
resurface the tennis court at Linn Street Park.
BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the
bid proposal submitted by L.L. Pelling Co, in the amount of $23,060.00 for the
resurfacing the tennis court is the most responsible bid received and is hereby accepted
and approved.
BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the
Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the Acceptance of Proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, By the City Council of
the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Resolution.
Passed and approved this day of 2006.

WE PROPOSE TO DD THE FOLLOWING WORK AND/OR FURNISH THE MATERIALS AT THE UNIT PRICE QUOTED BELOW:
]Base Did: Overlay the existing tennis court.
Remove the existing fence fabric,and the north side poles.
Clean the existing court surface,and apply a tack coat
Place a 1 V?hot mix asphalt leveling course.
Place petromat pavement fabric on the leveling course.
.Apply tack coat and place a 2""compacted bot mix asphalt surface.
Install a center anchor'for the net
Install one coat of acrylic res Macer
Install two coats of textured tennis court surfacing(green&red)
Locate,prime and paint,white playing lines for tennis
Reinstall the fence posts&fabric that was removed.
There is approximately 800 s.y.of court to resurface. LUMR Sum S 23,060.00
LL. NOTE;
1. The construction tic will enter through the north end.
2. Ball field restoration is the responsibility of the owner
3. The owner is to supply water to the job site for the court surface applicator.
4. The existing net posts are plumb&true, so they will.be reused.
