A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A RETENTION SCHEDULE FOR CITY
RECORDS AND DELEGATING RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTING
RETENTION SCHEDULE AND OPEN RECORDS REQUIREMENTS
WHEREAS, Code of Iowa Section 372.130) states certain minimum
requirements with respect to the retention of City records and documents; and
WHEREAS, The responsibility for implementing this retention schedule is
delegated to the City Clerk along with the responsibility of implementing the
requirements of the Iowa Open Records Law, in accordance with the Code of Iowa
Section 22.1(2).
BE IT RESOLVED, The City of Fairfax, Iowa, Records Retention Schedule, on
file with the City Clerk, is hereby adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, By the City Council of
the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Resolution.
