RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
FOR THE FAIRFAX TRAIL PROJECT ALONG HIGHWAY 151 FROM
PRAIRIE AVENUE TO EAST CEMETERY ROAD
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council has decided to construct a 10 foot wide
pedestrian trail along the easterly side of Highway 151 from Prairie Avenue to East
Cemetery Road in Fairfax, Linn County, Iowa in accordance with the current Statewide
Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Fairfax shall proceed with
the design and preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for the improvements,
subject to the concurrence and approval of the Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa
DOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) (when applicable); and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. has submitted a Professional Services
Agreement to provide preliminary survey and engineering services in connection with the
design and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for the improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, to enter into this Professional Services Agreement with Hall and Hall
Engineers, Inc.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute this Professional Services Agreement and this
resolution.
