RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 FOR THE
WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROGRAM, PHASE I IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has contracted with Rathje
Construction Co. for the Water Main Replacement Program, Phase I Improvements,
within the corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc., has recommended approval of
Change Order No. 3, to increase the contract amount $4,162.73 to compact 8"PVC water
main trench to 95% compaction along Highway 151. This includes pulling a trench box
along the retaining wall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, to approve Change Order No. 3 for the Water Main Replacement Program,
Phase I Improvements which will result in an increase of $4,162.73 to make a revised
total construction contract cost amount of$344.993.53.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute said resolution.
