RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR
TO WRITE-OFF CERTAIN UTILITY ACCOUNTS AS UNCOLLECTIBLE
WHEREAS, The City of Fairfax's Financial Administrator has reviewed a list of
customer utility accounts showing balances due, payable and delinquent as of October 31, 2009;
and
WHEREAS, The City's Finance Administrator, with all collection efforts exhausted,
has advised the Fairfax City Council to write-off certain said accounts as uncollectible bad debts,
as shown on Exhibit"A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, Based upon the advice of the Financial Administrator and a review of
Exhibit"A",the Fairfax City Council believes that it is in the best interest of the City to write-off
said due,payable and delinquent utility accounts as uncollectible bad debts.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, That the Finance Administrator of the City
of Fairfax, Iowa, is hereby authorized and directed to write-off the official books and records of
the City of Fairfax, Iowa, the customer utility accounts shown on Exhibit "A", attached hereto,
and by this reference incorporated herein, as uncollectible bad debts, after applying and setting-
off any deposit held by the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa,that
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
