RESOLUTION NO. 2011-27
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE
WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROGRAM, PHASE II IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, The City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has contracted with Schrader
Excavating & Grading, Inc. for the Water Main Replacement Program, Phase II
Improvements, within the corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc., has recommended approval of
Change Order No. 1, for a net decrease the contract amount $7,416.95 as listed below:
C.O. #1, Item 1 -9,269.75 To substitute plastic water services for
copper water services
C.O. #1, Item 2 +1,852.80 To add RCP culverts under 2 street
crossings on Main Street as requested by
city staff
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, to approve
Change Order No. 1 for the Water Main Replacement Program, Phase II Improvements
which will result in a net decrease the contract amount $7,416.95 to make a revised total
construction contract cost amount of $406,298.86.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City
Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said resolution.
