RESOLUTION NO. 2011-31
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF MONEY
FROM THE TIF FUND TO THE WATER FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, has established an Urban
Renewal District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has levied taxes to pay for improvement projects within
this Urban Renewal District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax’s auditor has recommended that the City of Fairfax
spend down the balance in the TIF Fund on projects within this Urban Renewal District and the
City Council, acting upon this recommendation, approved using available TIF Funds to pay for
work on one of the City’s wells; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax contracted with Northway Well and Pump, Co. to work
on a city well located within this Urban Renewal District and has received an invoice from
Northway Well and Pump, Co. for $39,704.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the City Clerk/Treasurer is directed to transfer $39,704.00 from the TIF Fund into the
Water Fund to cover the payment of this invoice..
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk/Treasurer are
hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
