RESOLUTION NO. 2011-37
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 FOR THE
WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROGRAM, PHASE II
IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, The City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has contracted with Schrader
Excavating & Grading, Inc. for the Water Main Replacement Program, Phase II
Improvements, within the corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc., has recommended approval of
Change Order No. 3, for an increase to the contract amount of $1,230.00 as listed below:
C.O. #3, Item 1 $1,230.00
The existing water main along Main Street did not end where it was originally
assumed. This Change Order compensates Schrader Excavating for exploratory digging
and time lost installing the additional water main needed to tie in to the existing main.
Three (3) additional working days are added to the overall project count and Milestone 1.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, to approve
Change Order No. 3 for the Water Main Replacement Program, Phase II Improvements
which will result in an increase to the contract amount of $1,230.00 to make a revised
total construction contract cost amount of $411,994.86.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City
Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said resolution.
