RESOLUTION NO. 2011-86
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE
HAWKS RIDGE PARK 2011 IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, The City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has contracted with Dave Schmitt
Construction Company, Inc. for the Hawks Ridge Park 2011 Improvements, within the corporate
limits; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc., has recommended approval of Change Order
No. 1, for an increase to the contract amount of $1,913.87 as listed below:
C.O. #1, Item 1 - Adjustments to Hawks Ridge Park 2011 Improvements
Additional labor and materials were required to extend water and sewer service into the
restrooms at Hawks Ridge Park.
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc., has recommended approval of an adjustment
to the original contract amount, for a decrease to the contract amount of $5,861.75 as listed
below:
There was an adjustment of contract quantities due to the omission of Line Items 6 and 7
from the original bid. These items were only to be used if the trail was not paved. Since
the trail was paved, these items were not needed.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, to approve
Change Order No. 1 for the Hawks Ridge Park 2011 Improvements which will result in an
increase to the contract amount of $1,913.87 to make a revised total construction contract cost
amount of $49,323.75.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of
the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said resolution.
