RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. I FROM
EASTERN IOWA BUILDING, INC. FOR THE FAIRFAX 2012 NEW
MAINTENANCE BUILDING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has contracted with Eastern Iowa
Building, Inc. for the Fairfax 2012 New Maintenance Building Project, within the
corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance department personnel and the city council have
reviewed the quote for the changes and are recommending these additions. The original
contract amount was $66,451.00. This Change Order No. 1 is making the following
listed changes in the contract for an increase of $13,272.00. The final revised contract
amount is now $79,723.00.
• Install an interior ceiling for $9,725.00
• Install white trims around overhead doors and J-trim on all walls for future
wall steel installation before doors are installed for $485.00
• Install R-40 blown in fiberglass insulation in the ceiling for $3,062.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, to approve Change Order No. 1 from Eastern Iowa Building, Inc. for the
Fairfax 2012 New Maintenance Building Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said resolution.
